Good D1 tablet

I bought the D1 Diagnostic Tablet. It works well. Shipping was fast, got it in 4 days. Easy to set up. Overall a solid purchase.

D1 Lite was a decent deal

I was looking for a good diagnostic tool but also trying to save some money. I saw the D1 Lite Professional Scanner was on offer, and with a first-order discount I found, it made the price much more appealing. I wasn't sure if it would be powerful enough for what I needed, but for the price, it felt like a good gamble. It arrived pretty quickly, maybe 5 days. So far, it's done everything I've asked of it, and I felt like I got a really good value. Happy with the savings and the product.

BT1 Battery Tester review

I purchased the BT1 Battery Tester last month. The ordering process on their website was straightforward, no issues there. It took about a week to arrive, which was reasonable. I had a question about one of the test modes, so I contacted their support, and they responded within 24 hours with a helpful answer. The tester itself feels robust and gives consistent readings. It accurately diagnosed a weak battery I had been suspecting. The interface is pretty intuitive, I didn't need to read the whole manual. Good quality for the price I paid.

Are these things genuine Autel stuff or like, knock-offs? The prices seem pretty good.

R Raj B. 4 weeks ago
They're legit, powered by Autel tech. They're basically Autel's sub-brand or something. Got my D1 from here and it's been rock solid, registers fine with Autel.

Yeah, it's their own brand but uses the same underlying tech and software. Like how Lexus is Toyota, kinda. Totally real.

Anyone compared the BT1 Battery Tester to something like a Foxwell or Topdon battery tester? Just wondering on accuracy and features.

J James 1 month ago
I used to have a Foxwell one, and the BT1 feels more robust and gives more detailed reports. The app integration is also way better.

The BT1 is solid. I've seen some Topdon ones but they felt a bit flimsier. The OTOFIX one is great for cranking and charging system tests, really accurate in my experience.

Thinking of grabbing the D1 Pro, is it really worth the extra cash over the D1 Max? Or am I just paying for features I won't use?

L Lisa S. 1 month ago
I upgraded to the Pro and honestly, for most daily stuff, the Max is probably fine. The Pro has some really advanced stuff that unless you're a super specialized shop, you might not tap into much.

Depends what you do. If you're just doing basic diagnostics, Max is plenty. Pro has more key programming and some deeper module coding capabilities.

does the D1 Diagnostic Tablet come with free software updates forever or is that a separate cost after a year?

C Chris P. 1 month ago
Usually, it comes with a year of free updates. After that, you gotta subscribe. That's pretty standard for these types of tools.

Mine came with a year. You can buy renewals after that, usually at a discount if you catch them during a sale.

how easy is it to return something if I get the wrong tool? just curious about their policy.

J Josh W. 1 month ago
Returns were pretty straightforward for me. Just make sure it's unused and in the original packaging, and within the 30-day window. Had to pay for return shipping though.

S Sarah Nguyen 1 month ago
Yeah, they're decent about returns as long as you don't mess up the box or use it for a month. Read their policy on the site, it's pretty clear.

Can you use more than one coupon code at checkout? Trying to stack a first-order deal with a Black Friday one.

P Paula Torres 2 weeks ago
Nah, pretty sure it's just one code per order. I tried to combine a general site discount with a specific tablet one once and it wouldn't let me.

N Nick 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I think they only let you use one. It's usually either a hardware discount or a percentage off, not both at the same time.

Thinking of buying the IM1 Key Programmer, can it program keys for most car brands or is it limited to just a few?

D Daisy H. 1 month ago
It's pretty wide-ranging, handles a lot of makes and models. Not EVERYTHING, but for a general shop, it covers a good chunk. You can check their vehicle coverage list on the site.

M Mia Silva 1 month ago
It's good, but always best to check their specific vehicle coverage for your common brands. It's not 100% universal but close enough for most jobs.

Are they usually running any deals around Father's Day? Thinking of getting my dad a new scanner.

P Priya Lindqvist 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they usually have something for Father's Day, often a percentage off or a discount on specific diagnostic tools. Keep an eye out in late May/early June.
5
N Nina Walsh 2 weeks ago
Definitely. Black Friday and Father's Day are usually good times to catch a sale on their tablets or battery testers.
